Common questions
What does ECT-32-B mean, and how does it compare to other corrugated grades?
ECT (Edgewise Crush Test) 32 indicates this kraft corrugated can withstand 32 lbs of force per inch of edge before crushing. ECT-32-B is ideal for small parcels and lightweight items; it offers excellent protection-to-weight ratio, reducing postage while maintaining durability for typical B2B shipping.
How much assembly time and labor does the fold-and-tuck design save?
One-piece fold-and-tuck mailers assemble in seconds with zero tools or materials required. Compared to tape-and-glue assembly, you eliminate 3 - 5 seconds of labor per box and eliminate tape and staple inventory costs, saving 15 - 20% on fulfillment labor for high-volume operations.
Can these mailers be stacked for storage, and what's the space savings?
Yes. When stored flat, a bundle of 50 occupies just 3 - 4 cubic feet. Compared to pre-assembled mailers (which require 15 - 20 cubic feet), flat storage saves 75 - 80% of warehouse space and reduces shipping costs for your inbound orders.
Are these mailers suitable for heavier items or fragile goods?
The ECT-32-B double-wall construction provides crush resistance for items up to 5 lbs and excellent protection for fragile goods like glassware, tools, and electronics. For items over 5 lbs or extreme impact applications, consider higher ECT ratings (ECT-44 or ECT-48).
