Common questions
Will this tape work with our existing tape dispensers?
Yes. The 3-inch kraft paper core is the industry standard and compatible with all manual and electric handheld dispensers, as well as most automated carton sealing machinery. Verify core diameter (3 inches) matches your dispenser specifications before ordering.
How does the 3.1 mil thickness compare to thinner alternatives?
The 3.1 mil thickness provides conformability to uneven carton surfaces while maintaining tear resistance during application and handling. This balances cost efficiency with durability, thinner tape may slide during high-speed sealing, while thicker alternatives waste material on routine closures.
What adhesive system does Scotch® 375 use, and why does it matter?
Scotch® 375 features a synthetic rubber hot-melt adhesive that bonds instantly without requiring heat or moisture activation. This ensures consistent sealing across temperature and humidity variations, critical for operations spanning refrigerated storage to outdoor loading docks.
Is this tape water-resistant, and when does that matter?
Yes. The polypropylene film backing resists water penetration, protecting carton contents and barcode integrity during shipment through humid climates, dock spray, or stored near moisture sources. This reduces damage claims and customer service issues on water-sensitive shipments.
