Common questions
Which printers are compatible with this thermal transfer ribbon?
This 4.02" x 1345' black wax ribbon is compatible with Sato thermal transfer label printers, as well as Zebra and Datamax brand thermal transfer printers that accept standard 1" core ribbons.
How does the Printhead Saver coating extend printhead life?
The Printhead Saver technology and anti-static back coating reduce friction between the ribbon and printhead during operation, minimizing wear and extending the lifespan of your thermal printhead by up to 50%, reducing replacement costs.
What makes wax ribbon better than other thermal transfer options?
Wax ribbons offer cost-efficiency and performance for standard shipping labels and barcodes. They provide excellent print quality on uncoated label stock, require lower print temperatures, support higher speeds, and generate less heat than premium formulations.
Can this ribbon print at lower temperatures without sacrificing print quality?
Yes. The highly sensitive wax formulation allows printing at reduced temperatures while delivering dark, high-definition barcodes, text, logos, and symbols. This also reduces energy consumption and extends printhead longevity.
