Common questions
How much stronger are Tyvek® envelopes compared to paper mailers?
Tyvek® olefin envelopes are ten times stronger than paper alternatives. They provide resistance to punctures, tears, and moisture damage, reducing product loss during shipping and handling. This durability often reduces overall shipping claim costs and customer returns.
Will the expandable design add shipping weight or dimensional surcharges?
The 2" expansion depth is calculated into DIM weight by carriers. While slightly heavier than flat mailers, the expandable capacity often eliminates the need for larger boxes, offsetting weight increases. Test your typical shipment weight against alternative packaging sizes for ROI comparison.
Is the self-seal adhesive reusable or removable?
The self-sealing strip is permanent and designed for single-use applications. Once sealed, the envelope cannot be reopened without tearing. This ensures tamper-evidence and regulatory compliance for sensitive shipments.
Can these envelopes be pre-printed with custom branding?
Yes. The white Tyvek® surface accepts flexographic, digital, and screen printing. Contact your Packrift account manager for minimum order quantities and printing setup costs. Pre-printed options enhance brand consistency and can reduce labor costs on fulfillment operations.
