Cable Ties

Natural nylon cable ties are appropriate for indoor applications where UV exposure is not a concern, including wire management inside equipment and indoor organizational use. Black UV-stabilized ties are required for any outdoor application where sunlight exposure would degrade natural nylon, causing ties to become brittle and fail prematurely within months of outdoor exposure.

Releasable cable ties have a tab release mechanism that allows the tie to be opened and removed without cutting, making them the right choice for applications where cables need to be added, removed, or reorganized regularly without replacing the ties each time. They cost more per unit than standard ties but significantly reduce the long-term cost in high-change environments.

Metal-detectable cable ties are formulated with a detectable additive that triggers metal detection systems used in food processing facilities, making them visible in contamination monitoring systems if a tie breaks and enters the food stream. Stainless steel ties are required for high-temperature applications and environments where nylon would degrade from chemical exposure or heat.
